Our Story

The Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® has a rich history dating back to the formation of the Talbot County Board of REALTORS in 1953 and the Dorchester County Board of REALTORS in 1959 and added Caroline County in 2023.  These early boards, with their commitment to standardized practices and adherence to the CODE OF ETHICS of the National Association of REALTORS® (formerly the National Association of Real Estate Boards), laid the groundwork that continues today.

Today, our vibrant community comprises REALTOR and affiliate members from Caroline, Dorchester, Talbot Counties, collectively forming the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS®. Serving as the central hub for members, MSBR fosters collaboration, discussion, and strategic planning to implement programs that enhance the local real estate industry.

At the core of our mission is a dedication to education and leadership development. MSBR provides valuable training and hands-on experience, empowering members to serve and lead not only within the industry but also in the broader community.

The association remains unwavering in its commitment to fundamental services for members, including:

  1. Education and Professional Development Opportunities: MSBR offers continuous learning opportunities to ensure members stay at the forefront of industry trends.
  2. Legislative Involvement: Engaging at local, regional, state, and national levels, MSBR advocates for the interests of its members, contributing to effective legislative outcomes.
  3. Communication: MSBR facilitates robust communication. Externally, it emphasizes the significance of property ownership and the value of partnering with a REALTOR©. Internally, it keeps members informed about opportunities for involvement, networking, and professional growth.

The Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® stands firm in its commitment to providing essential services and fostering a dynamic, supportive environment for its members' success.
