Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® was formed in 1997; but before then, there was the Talbot County Board of REALTORS chartered in 1953 with 9 members and the Dorchester County Board of REALTORS, chartered in 1959 with 7 members.  When these two boards merged, they also included Caroline County to provide standardized practices, better serve the public and to subscribe to the CODE OF ETHICS of the National Association of REALTORS® (then known as the National Association of Real Estate Boards).

Today our REALTOR and affiliate members from Caroline County, Dorchester County and Talbot County comprise the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS®.   MSBR is the headquarters” for members to gather, discuss, plan and set in motion programs designed to benefit the real estate industry within the local community.  The foundation for leadership development starts with MSBR.  It provides training and experience for members in serving and leading in the industry and in the community.

The association remains true to the fundamental services it provides the members.

  • Education and Professional Development Opportunities
  • Legislative involvement at the local, regional, state and national levels
  • Dispute resolution for members and those they serve
  • Communication – with the public, to highlight the importance of property ownership and the value of using a REALTOR – and with members, to keep them informed of opportunities for involvement, networking and growth.
